Focus Lite 1011 has been designed to provide the student with the required knowledge and skills to understand and utilise the Focus Lite software with the Innotech Omni BEMS platform.

Prerequisites:

The participant must have the following minimum requirements to complete this course:

      • Sound computer skills
      • Able to interpret technical documents
      • Have basic controls theory principles
      • A valid Focus installation with a Lite activation

Material Covered:

      • Focus Lite Programming Basics
      • Introduction to iComm Server V2
      • Omni Web Server Fundamentals
      • Focus simulation basics
      • Data sharing between Innotech controllers
      • Working with Omni read-only HLI configs

Duration: Self-paced, allow approximately two (2) full workdays.

Note that you will be provided a Focus licence once the workshop section is unlocked. This will occur when the trainer receives a notification that all the required modules have been viewed and or passed. This will be checked, and you will receive an e-mail from the Innotech server to activate your Innotech account and download Focus.

This short course provides information in relation to both NeoView and NeoLink platforms.  Fundamental topics are covered in relation to the hardware, software, system design, and architecture.  This course has primarily been created to provide basic NeoView and NeoLink information for a Controls Engineer.

The Innotech OEM course is designed to provide an OEM integrator with the fundamentals of using the Innotech Omni products within your integration projects.  Please start at the first module and work your way through the course.

Duration: the course is self-paced and can be done over a series of sessions.  Allow at least 24 to 48 hours in total to complete all items.

Recognition of Knowledge - Focus Professional Licence renewal - This assessment consists of numerous questions that covers various software functionality and features and is based on the Omni product range.  It is an open-book assessment, and you can use any resources to locate the required question answers.  This includes the Innotech website, Knowledge Base, and course handbooks.

Please take your time and do not rush through the questions.  Once you have completed the RoK, ensure that you access and complete the Course Completed Feedback.  This alerts us that your work has been submitted.  All essay style questions will be graded once the assessment has been completed and submitted.

This course provides information in relation to the Modbus Protocol and the integration with the Omni product range.  The course has been designed to provide general knowledge for the theory and application of the Protocol.

There are no workshops or quizzes to be completed for this course.

In this course, we will look at the fundamentals of controller logic and how to create this to allow the controller to function as required for a particular application. Various topics are covered from the beginning theory to building a final working configuration.

As you progress through the various lessons, the theory and application of configuration creation will be covered. 

Lesson 1 will need to be completed prior to accessing Lesson 2 and so on until you have completed the course. 

Please note that it will take some time to learn and master configuration building to an extent that you are confident. Please have patience and don't rush your work.

General Information

  • General knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Basic controls theory
Duration: Self-paced. Allow at least 16 to 24 hours in total. Note that the lessons will remember the last page that you viewed. There is no need to complete each lesson in one session if this is not possible.

Software required: Focus (Open or Licenced)

The Innotech innTOUCH2 Smart Sensor range introduces a digital and fully programmable wall sensor with native BACnet connectivity which can be installed and used in a variety of industrial, commercial, and domestic control systems.  The innTOUCH2 Smart Sensor is available in BACnet and ISS protocol communication interfaces and utilises a user configurable touchscreen interface for network connectivity, creating out-of-the-box project flexibility.

This course provides fundamental information in regard to the Skia range of products. This also includes important changes to Focus.
